Revit wall won't join
Walls only join at ends that allow it: right-click the wall-end grip → Allow Join. Then use Modify → Wall Joins to pick Butt, Miter or Square off, and check both walls use the same location line and level.
Share your Revit window and say what's wrong. Cadet reads the view and your brief, then points at the next click — you make it.

The Revit problems students get stuck on — and the fix
Walls only join at ends that allow it: right-click the wall-end grip → Allow Join. Then use Modify → Wall Joins to pick Butt, Miter or Square off, and check both walls use the same location line and level.
The sketch must be one closed loop with no gaps or overlaps. Use Pick Walls, Trim/Extend to Corner on open ends, and delete any duplicate lines.
Check the View Range (cut plane), Visibility/Graphics (VV) for its category, the crop region, the view's phase and detail level — and Reveal Hidden Elements in case it was hidden in the view.
Rooms need room-bounding walls or Room Separator lines around them, in the same phase as the view. Place the rooms, then tag them with Tag All.
Press Tab to cycle through references (wall faces, centres, cores) before you click. A closed padlock on a dimension locks it — unlock it to change the value.
View → Sheet with your title block, drag views onto it, then File → Export → PDF and pick the sheets to include.
They only show where their extents reach. Drag the extents across, or use Propagate Extents to copy them to parallel views.
Roof by Footprint uses the edges you mark as slope-defining; untick the rest. For a single slope or a profile, use Roof by Extrusion. Then attach the walls to the roof with Attach Top/Base.
A schedule only shows parameters of its category. Add the fields in Schedule Properties, and make sure the parameter exists in the family or as a project parameter.
Hosted families need a host — a wall, floor or face. Choose Place on Face or Place on Work Plane, or load a non-hosted version of the family.
Insert → Link CAD, set the units and Auto – Origin to Origin, and tick Current View Only for a 2D underlay.
Set the base and top levels first, then check the maximum riser height in the stair type — if the floor-to-floor height needs more risers than the run allows, the stair can't complete.
