Built by a student, for students

Cadet was started by Nikolas Ritis, a final-year engineering student. Every deadline week, classmates got stuck in CAD — a surface that wouldn't join, an assembly that wouldn't move — and paid £500 to a freelancer on Fiverr, then waited weeks for a file they couldn't explain.

The help they needed wasn't someone to do the work. It was someone sitting next to them for ten minutes, pointing at the right button. So that's what Cadet is: share your screen, say what's wrong, and Cadet shows you the next step in your own model.

Guidance, not automation

Cadet points at the next click and explains why — you make it. Your model, your decisions, work you can explain in a crit or a viva. That's the difference between learning a tool and handing it off, and it's why departments can recommend Cadet.

What Cadet is not

  • Not a model generator — it never makes the geometry for you.
  • Not an assignment service — it never does the work or writes the report.
  • Not a background recorder — it sees the one window you share, while you share it.
